24 Looks Good On You. . .

If you haven’t told Amanda happy birthday yet, do it now. This lovely little lady turned 24 this past Monday! I personally think that this will be her best year yet and here’s why:
1. She’s going to graduate at the end of the year.
2. She’s become more independent.
3. She’s finding herself more and more as the days go by.
For those who don’t have the privilege of knowing Amanda as well as a select few do, she’s truly a great girl to have in your inner circle. Her sarcasm and sass get me through the day. She’s so hilarious, I find myself laughing at the smallest things. Her style has always influenced me to express myself more. She can literally pull off anything. I’m so blessed to have her in my life, and I know all of her friends feel the same exact way. So this post is for her. I hope you can see how effortlessly cool she is through these badass pictures.

For her birthday, I treated her to dinner and yummy Happy Hour drinks at 50th St. Caboose. It was our first time eating there, and we will definitely be back. (The “Fajitiladas” will give you a food baby that you will cherish forever.) We worked all those carbs off in the arcade section of the restaurant. From ski-ball to Guitar Hero, we walked away with about 900 tickets. It got us a pizza keychain and 1 cat eraser that looks just like Mollie.
We went straight home and continued the festivities by watching HBO’s Girls and drinking wine. Shortly after, Amanda busted out her new GoPro camera and used it to take these awesome pictures for this blog. I mean, our outfits were totally killing it. I think I can speak for Amanda by saying she had a great birthday. It was my goal to make her feel as loved as her family and friends from back home usually do, and I feel like I accomplished that.

It’s May!

Happy 2nd day of May, everyone!

The weather here in San Marcos has been beautiful lately, so naturally, the clothes have been too. I’m in the process of putting all of my winter clothes away. It’s feeling like I won’t be needing them for a while!
My roommate, Shelby, also put up her winter wardrobe yesterday. While doing so, she gave me a few things she no longer wanted. I scored a maxi dress & a few cute tank tops. She’s the best, obviously.
While I was trying my new blouses on, I favorited one in particular. As I was admiring it in my mirror, I thought I’d make up an outfit for future references. I threw on an old pair of high waisted shorts and went from there.

•Sunglasses are from Earthbound; $5.00
•Shirt is from Shelby, but I know you can get similar tanks at Ross or Marshall’s.
•Shorts are from Forever 21, but these were also given to me by my good friend Amanda last summer. (My friends are so generous + badass.)
•My Belt is from Charlotte Russe; $10.00
•Shoes are from Strut boutique, circa 2010. I’ve had these shoes for years but they haven’t been worn that many times.
•My Giraffe necklace was ordered off of Wanelo; $15.99

I’ll definitely be wearing this outfit over and over in the summer. If any of y’all decide to put away winter clothes or just clean out your closet in general, don’t throw away anything. Save your unwanted clothes and pass them off to friends. Or you could donate them to Plato’s Closet & make a few extra bucks. Goodwill is always an option too! There’s always going to be someone out there who will appreciate your old favorite shirt the way you once did!

Love you all!

It’s About Time…

So I’ve been wanting to create my own blog for some time now. I can spend hours upon hours of scrolling through other people’s blogs on Tumblr or staring at pins on Pinterest. Always the admirer, never the blogger. So at 3am this morning, I decided why not start now. I know this blog will take some work & effort, but at least I’m taking the first step! ☺️
My roommate showed me her friend’s Facebook last night, and after looking at the creative pictures she had posted, I knew I needed to stop wasting time. This girl lived in California and took pictures of her beautiful outfits with awesome scenery in the background of each picture. I was in awe and inspired. I know that I have an eye for fashion and I want to stop being humble about it. I want to be known for my unique style. Fashion has been a passion of mine since before I can remember. Now with the power of WordPress, I can happily share my ideas/likes and hope to be someone else’s inspiration along the way.
This is my first post on my first fashion blog. Please enjoy this journey of mine and support me on bringing out my inner creativity!
